I have been teaching privately since my senior year of high school (2008). I have run both individual lessons and group masterclasses in a wide variety of settings, working with students of all ages and abilities. I have helped beginners, those prepping for college auditions, and professionals alike. I currently teach at a public school, working with grades Pre-K to 6.
I have been fortunate to have incredible teachers of my own who inspired within me a true love for music of all types. I was encouraged to observe and experiment, with no cause for fear or caution. I started conducting while in middle school (which is also where I was first handed a bass guitar).
Throughout it all I have viewed the musical landscape as a safe place where mistakes are learning experiences and the simple joy of expression is to be found. I still hold myself to an incredibly high standard, but I am in this field for the joy that it brings. I will bring that passion to any and all endeavor which comes my way.
